First Mercedes-Benz is offering a choice of three variants of the lightweight Vario-roof-construction for the new SLK: only a few seconds this feature turned into a convertible coupe with a roof "fixed" at the touch of a button - and vice versa: The standard version is a car painted roof.

Options available is a panorama glass roof with Vario-dark. The third option is a world debut - the picture with the vario-roof MAGIC SKY CONTROL. This glass roof light switches or a button in the dark. In the light that is virtually transparent, providing an outdoor experience, even in cold weather. In this state its dark roof provides welcome shade and prevent the interior from heating up from the sun's rays. Other words: a relaxed atmosphere at the touch of a button.

Out back Brabus has incorporated a rear wing made from the lightweight woven black stuff and a downforce producing rear diffuser, while a set of staggered Monoblock S alloy wheels measuring 18 inches up front and 19 inches on the back axle. For those high performance electric car owners who miss the sounds of the internal combustion engine, Brabus has also incorporated a space sound generator that can produce tones ranging from race cars and V8s to futuristic songs that are referred to as Beam and Warp. And if that still isn’t enough to convince you, RWE is also offering the use of all their public charging stations to their Eco-Power customers free of charge for up to one year.

UPDATE 12/07/10:Tesla and Brabus have finally released a new set of photos of the Roadster Sport Brabus Green Package. We don’t really know why it took more than a year for these new photos to hit the streets, but some things are just worth waiting for. This is one of those times.

Mazda showed the lightweight concept car - Superlight, built on the MX-5 roadster. This car is designed with European design division of the company, based in Oberursel, Germany.
